Decorating Your Home with Houseplants Seminar

When: January 24th from 12pm -1pm

Join Lisa to learn tips and tricks for using plants in your home as décor! See examples of plant choices for specific décor styles, do's and don'ts for healthy and happy plants, and how to achieve a style that's right for you. Come armed with questions and photos if you'd like specific answers for your home! Registration is not required for this seminar.

Create Your Own Kokedama

When: January 31st from 12pm -1pm

Kokedama is a Japanese style of stylizing a plant the utilizes natural materials like moss and twine. You will be able to select a plant, then we will work together to wrap the roots and soil in moss and twine. There will be a $6 fee per kokedama that includes the moss, soil, and twine. The cost of the plant you select is in addition to the $6 fee. Kokedama is a unique way to display your indoor plants and can be recreated again and again! Registration is not required for this workshop.

Cheerful Daisy Basket Class

When: February 7th from 12pm -1pm

Enjoy creating an adorable daisy basket with one of our talented designers in this spring-y feeling class. You'll learn to work with oasis foam and take home a long-lasting bright arrangement when you're finished! Fee: $35 Registration is required as space is limited.

Galentine's Night at the Greenhouse

When: February 13th from 6pm -8pm

Grab your gals and head over to the greenhouse for a fun evening filled with treats, your besties, and lots of make-and-take activities! Paint a pot, then plant up some pretty flowers int it! Choose from a bright and beautiful selection of cut flowers to create your own lovely bouquet! Enjoy an array of fun games to get you ready for spring! Fee: $35, includes all activities and treats. Registration is required.

Terrarium Date Night

When: February 14th from 4pm -5pm

We are excited to host a "date-night" themed terrarium class for Valentine's Day! the $75 ticket will include your choice of either 2 small terrariums or 1 large terrarium and will cover all the materials for one couple. There will be lots of plants and decorating accents to choose from. We will have a creation table set-up for each couple, along with some treats to snack on while you create! Registration is required as this event will be limited to 5 couples.

Spring Bulbs Arrangement Class

When: February 21st from 12pm -1pm

Don't let the dreary days get you down! Join our designers in making a quintessentially spring floral arrangement using tulips, daffodils, and other fragrant flowers! Your creation will be sure to brighten your home. Fee: $45 Registration is required as space is limited.

Greater Lansing Orchid Society Orchid Show and Sale

When: February 28th -March 1st from All day

Show hours Saturday: Sales 11:00-5:00, Displays 12:00-5:00; Sunday Sales and Displays 11:00-4:00.

Van Atta's is once again proud to host the Greater Lansing Orchid Society's Annual Orchid Show and Sale! Vendors will be selling a wide variety of orchids and orchid growing supplies, there will be gorgeous displays to check out, and you can even join in on an orchid growing class. Free admission, however, donations to the Greater Lansing Orchid Society will be accepted.
